This tractor was brought to us in a very rotted-out state.

The cab was removed and a significant amount of welding work was done to restore it to a structurally sound state.

The running gear was prepped, primered and painted.

A full rewire was required and the cab and demountable loading shovel were painted, with new decals added.

It is now used regularly on a local smallholding.

This rare commercial was originally a farm vehicle that belonged to the client’s father.

Barn-stored for over half a century, she wanted it sympathetically restored, preserving the original patina as she remembered it from her childhood.

A complete engine rebuild was necessary and the entire floor and rear panelling were replaced, then varnished and painted to look “of the period.”

The seats were re-upholstered, the vinyl roofs replaced and the exterior wiped over with linseed oil.

She now hugely enjoys taking it to local shows, where it always attracts attention.

“Patience” has undergone a full restoration over a period of 12 months.

Her current custodian and conservator approached us after owning her for a number of years, patiently waiting to be returned to her former glory – hence her fitting title.

It has been a privilege to take this fine example of British engineering down to her bare bones and rebuild her to the Art-Deco-inspired design she was always meant to be.

Uncovering the original work and craftsmanship of the 15 production-line workers and coachbuilders who assembled these cars, and replicating their skills, has been truly inspiring. We replaced the wool headlining and carpets, re-veneered every piece of interior walnut woodwork, stripped, serviced, and replaced the dashboard clocks and dials, among many other intricate tasks. Even the wind-up clock now works perfectly! Truly a piece of history preserved for future generations.

This heavy haulage ergomatic-cabbed AEC underwent a full ground-up restoration.

The chassis, running gear and engine had been overhauled, rebuilt and primed some years before.

Many donor parts were used, as these cabs are hard to find now.

The engine had to be mated to the correct gearbox before being re-installed.

Much fabrication went into the cab, with careful deliberation between Jason and the owner about period details, as their fathers both drove these trucks in the ’70s.

The reproduction of the double rear wheel arches was a labour of love, as these are impossible to buy now.

It is one of the finest examples of a Mammoth Major around.
